Narrative: attempt to define

One of the basic theoretical issues underlying the project to be presented is certainly the narrative.
Without pretending to enter into this blog all there is to know about the story I will briefly summarize the main features
It carries out functions essential to the lives of human beings, promoting the perpetuation of culture and reflecting the inner world of subjects.
In children, in particular, it has a major role for the development of all aspects of cognitive, emotional, social and above all this is so pervasive in his life.
To achieve a comprehensive and clear definition of the concept of narrative is essential to take into account different aspects.
First, a narrative is identified by a history (a sequence of events, linked by logical and temporal relationships) and a narrator who tells it.
The narrative is seen as the temporal organization of events. Returning to the studies of Stein and Glenn (1979) we can say that all narratives have a common "grammar," an organization similar time providing for different categories connected by temporal and causal links. The story that would result from an initial event (change in the situation) that would create a protagonist in the internal response, an emotional and cognitive development. At this point the person would put in place attempts, that concrete actions to achieve its purpose, which would lead to consequences, positive or negative in relation to whether the target is reached, and an emotional reaction of the protagonist, formulated in terms of thoughts and emotions.
